In the Summer of 2011, God led two Christian congregations to merge into one unified Church. Rather than use one of our former names, we chose a new name that would best represent the unique work in which God is doing in our midst. In order to remind us of our true identity, we chose the name Christ’s Community Church to emphasis His Divine Ownership.

In John 17, we are given a glimpse of the great desire Jesus has for His people.  When Jesus prays to His Father, He asks that His church be united as one (John 17:21-23). Why? Two reasons:

1) So His people will glorify (accurately represent) the perfect Love and Oneness of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

2) So the world will know that the Father sent the Son!

As a result, we acknowledge our need to be interdependent with the body of Christ as a whole, and we seek to partner with other local churches to “strive together for the faith of the gospel” (Philippians 1:27). Consequently, we believe in the importance of focusing on the “essential doctrines” of the Christian faith, and de-emphasizing those minor differences which often boil down to individual preferences, terminologies or customs. Rather, we want to encourage believers of diverse backgrounds and theological traditions to unite with us in an alliance to intimately “Know Jesus Christ” and exalt Him by “Making Him Known”.

Today we invite you to join us as we seek to bring glory and honor to the great Shepherd and Guardian of our souls. When Christ builds His church the results will always be the same: Love, Truth and Unity.
